Over the past 3 decades Baan Dada has been involved in many different community outreach programs. Each program was started in support of and in collaboration with different local communities.
Fish Raising: Bringing nets and fish raising supplies to communities who had difficulty practicing agriculture due to flooding from the construction of a dam.
Bamboo Weaving for Elderly community members
Goat raising for milk
Women’s cloth weaving: Baan Dada employed women from the community to weave traditional clothing and different items such as bags and scarves. These items were sold as a fundraiser for the home and in exchange the women received a reliable monthly salary.
Piloki Homestay Program: We helped to set up a home stay program in Piloki Village (a remote fishing village) where people from around the world could stay with a family and experience life in Piloki.
